On May 10, the Azerbaijani-language Book Club held its next meeting. This time, the discussion focused on Harper Lee’s famous novel Go Set a Watchman. Participants delved into the storyline, the inner worlds of the characters, and the theme of social justice.
During the meeting, insightful thoughts were shared about Scout Finch’s coming of age, her confrontation with racism, and the concept of justice in society. Club members highlighted that the novel is written in a different, yet complementary style to To Kill a Mockingbird.
After the discussion, attendees shared their personal impressions and emphasized that such gatherings greatly contribute to the development of reading culture.
