“Ali and Nino” Children’s Book Club Explores Astrid Lindgren’s “Mio, My Son”

The “Ali and Nino” bookstore chain hosted a children’s book club meeting dedicated to Mio, My Son, a beloved work by renowned Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. The event was held with the support of the Embassy of Sweden in Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, children discussed the story and its characters, exploring themes of friendship, courage, love, and the struggle between good and evil. The discussion encouraged young readers to share their impressions and discover the rich literary world of Astrid Lindgren.

The event was also attended by the Ambassador of Sweden to Azerbaijan. As a special gift, the Embassy of Sweden donated 15 copies of Mio, My Son to the children participating in the club.

The initiative promoted a love of reading, introduced young participants to Swedish literature, and provided an engaging space for cultural exchange, creative thinking, and meaningful conversations.
