The “Ali and Nino” bookstore chain held meetings of three book clubs operating in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English. During the gatherings, participants came together to discuss three books covering different themes, exploring their content, central ideas, and characters.
The Azerbaijani-language book club discussed Mənim Payım (My Share). Participants shared their thoughts on the themes explored in the book, human relationships, and aspects connected to personal experiences.
The Russian-language book club focused on Colleen Hoover’s Тайный дневник (Secret Diary). Readers analysed the events of the book, the characters’ decisions, and the details that particularly caught their attention.
The English-language book club discussed Kathryn Stockett’s The Calamity Club. Participants exchanged views on the book’s content, the themes presented by the author, and their impressions of the reading.
Bringing together three different books and three unique reading experiences, the meetings gave participants an opportunity to discover different literary perspectives, gain new insights, and connect with fellow book lovers.
The “Ali and Nino” book clubs continue to encourage reading in different languages, bring readers together, and foster a vibrant literary community through engaging book discussions.
