Children’s Book Club Meeting Held on May 11
On May 11, the latest meeting of the Children’s Book Club took place. This time, young readers engaged in a discussion about Pride and Prejudice, the beloved classic by Jane Austen. The event was organized with the special support of the British Embassy in Azerbaijan, and the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mr. Fergus Auld, personally attended the meeting.
During the session, young book lovers shared their thoughts on the novel’s themes, the social dynamics of the era, and the fascinating development of its characters. The Ambassador’s presence made the experience truly unforgettable for the children. He shared his impressions of the book and emphasized the importance of nurturing a love for reading among younger generations.
The event was held in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, raising even more anticipation for upcoming book discussions.
It is worth noting that this year marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen, and a series of events are being held across the “Ali and Nino” bookstore network to celebrate the occasion.
