Four Book Club Meetings Successfully Held at “Ali & Nino” Crescent Mall in One Day!

January 18 turned into a true literary celebration at “Ali & Nino” Crescent Mall. Throughout the day, four meetings took place, each focusing on a different book and audience — creating a vibrant atmosphere full of thoughtful conversations and shared impressions.

The Children’s Book Club explored “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. Young readers enthusiastically discussed the storyline, characters, and the values of friendship, courage, and self-discovery. The session was interactive and full of energy, with children actively taking part.

The Russian-speaking book club meeting was dedicated to Abraham Verghese’s novel “The Covenant of Water”. Participants engaged in a deep discussion about the themes of fate, family bonds, moral choices, memory, and the book’s emotional and historical layers.

During the English-speaking club meeting, readers discussed Marcus Aurelius’ “Meditations”. The group focused on stoic philosophy, self-control, emotional discipline, resilience, and how these ideas can be applied in real life.

The day ended with the main book club session featuring Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s “Half of a Yellow Sun”. Readers reflected on war and identity, love and class differences, as well as the inner transformation of the characters. The discussion was emotional and powerful, with many unique interpretations shared.

“Ali & Nino” Book Club will continue bringing readers together through meaningful literary meetings and inspiring discussions.
