The Next English-Language Book Club Meeting Was Held
On May 11, the English-Language Book Club held its latest meeting. This time, the book under discussion was Donna Tartt’s renowned novel The Secret History. Club members engaged in an in-depth discussion about the novel’s complex plot, psychological development of the characters, and the mysterious events throughout the story.
During the meeting, participants analyzed the novel’s enigmatic atmosphere, built around themes of elitism, friendship, and moral values. Special attention was given to the author’s use of flashbacks and her ability to maintain suspense and tension.
At the end of the session, attendees shared their impressions and discussed the thought-provoking aspects of the novel. The next book selection is already eagerly anticipated.
