A story about an immortal woman stuck on a desert island for eternity, would it be even an interesting read? It definitely was! We always hear stories about heroes of the Golden Age, but we never hear stories of witches, wives, mothers, and many more. While we learn about the life of Circe, we also get mentions of famous characters such as Ariadne, Daedalus, Medea, Odyssey, Olympian gods, etc. It is also a good intro before reading Homer’s Odyssey.
