"СТУПЕНЬКА-1" (STUPENKA-1) IS THE FIRST BOOK OF A FOUR-PART BEGINNER'S COURSE FOR 6 TO 11- YEAR OLD CHILDREN LEARNING RUSSIAN AS A SECOND LANGUAGE.
This course adopts an exciting and creative approach that engages young learners in speaking, reading and writing Russian as a second language. Easy explanations, "hidden" grammar topics, interactive exercises, dialogues from everyday life, funny rhymes, games, role plays coupled with drawing and colouring exercises are incorporated to facilitate mastering the basic grammar, to teach and entertain students at the same time.
The Pupil's book contains "Interesting Facts about the Russian language", end of unit projects, an end of course test, a grammar bank with original colourful and clear grammar tables and other supplementary material. Each of six lessons introduces new vocabulary with bright colourful illustrations through progressive developmental exercises.
The Activity Book combines grammar and vocabulary from the Pupil's Book. It is enriched with practical exercises in order to develop students’ writing and reading skills. A lot of attention is given to the handwriting practice.
The course " Ступеньки" is written by an author who is very experienced in Russian as a Second language teaching methodology. It is suitable for children who want to possess an elementary level or A1 according to the CEFR . The course follows the Primary Russian as a Second Language Curriculum Framework for International schools.
