Being the shortest humans in the world, they were one of the most oppressed African tribes: hunted and eaten like animals by other tribes and later brutally attacked by both natives and white invaders. Pygmies were kept in the cages of zoos in the early twentieth century as living exhibits, as “incompletely evolved humans.”
The novel narrates the struggle of brave and fearless people trying to change the fate of a great continent, fighting against hidden and obvious enemies.
